The Adult Home of Laura Ingalls Wilder in Mansfield, MO

Ken reluctantly agreed to drive an hour out of our way so that Elle and I could visit the adult home of Laura Ingalls Wilder where she wrote all of the Little House on the Prairie books. . Elle and I read every single book years ago. 

We did take one picture in front of the bust of Laura in the town center of Mansfield. 

It was a bit magical walking among the grounds of Rocky Ridge Farm and seeing much of what Manly, her husband, and Laura built with hard work. We actually walked through the farm house, saw their bedrooms and much of the original furniture. Sadly, it was super hot and we forgot to take pictures. At the end of our visit, even Ken agreed that it was a valuable stop, and he was proud to listen to Elle talk of everything she learned.
